We are glad to report that CEM have held very successful baroque and renaissance summer schools again this year. Both have been at Benslow music with an excursion to Cambridge for the baroque school to give a superb performance of Purcell’s King Arthur at Downing Place on Sat 29th July. If you missed it there are some photos, below.
The baroque school was directed by Lawrence Cummings – voices and continuo with tutors Bojan Čičić – upper strings, Mark Caudle – lower strings, Leo Duarte – woodwind and Mary Collins – baroque dance and stagecraft.
The renaissance week was equally successful, with director Claire Wilkinson – director and voices, Jacob Heringman – lutes, John Bryan – viols, and Giles Underwood – voices.
